WHY LEADERS’ QUEST?
As a country, South Africais crying out for better leadership – in government, in companies, in communities, and in homes.Leaders’ Quest aims to grow a new generation of leaders, who are attuned to themselves, and cognisant of the problems of the world too. The focus is on personal leadership,and on taking responsibility for one’s life and decisions,and on dreaming big and planning strong, so that these young people are free to thrive.
WHAT WE DO
Leaders’ Quest provides aspirant high school learners with personal development tools and life skills so that they are ready for the future.
Operating in 10 high schools in Cape Town, the programme provides afterschools leadership and life skills training sessions, one-on-one coaching and psychosocial support combined with a range of experiential activities that help learners to flex their leadership muscles and grow into the people they are meant to be in the world.
The programme is designed to give learners an opportunity for personal growth, social awareness and the development of core servant leadership skills. Coaches develop close nurturing relationships with the learners and the groups become supportive environments for growth.
