The winning campaign was a social media campaign developed by Red and Yellow students to show the reality of youth in this country. They emphasise youth potential and invited fellow youth to do the same. This campaign was developed by Shavaun Hendricks, Ruth Decerff, Samley Currie, Kelly Schwegmann, Greig Lockhart-Ross and Michael Love and was used by Salesian Life Choices as a campaign in June 2017.
The campaign challenges people to take a picture or video of themselves in the shape of a Y (symbolizing solidarity with youth) and to tell the world “Why they believe in youth?” They would then post on social media, using #YChallenge and challenge their friends to do the same.
