MONITORING & EVALUATION CONSULTANCY

MONITORING AND EVALUATION CAN BE A BURDEN FOR NPOs AND TO GET CONSULTANTS TO ASSIST CAN OFTEN BE A WASTE OF RESOURCES.

At Life Choices we understand your monitoring and evaluation needs and challenges because we have experienced these ourselves! We’re implementing M&E solutions internally that suit our needs and budget, and we are on a mission to assist other NGOs to do the same.

Our Promise

Life Choices M&E Services will assist you to develop and implement M&E systems that enable you to focus on your core business with your chosen beneficiaries.  We are not consultants who run a workshop and then disappear; we can walk with you through the process of designing and implementing a realistic internal M&E system. This includes on-site support and capacity building to ensure that the solutions we design with you will work for your organisation. We commit to:

Simplicity

We use language and methods that are as simple as possible in order to increase access to M&E knowledge and skills for anyone in the organization.

Participation and Feedback

We understand that each NGO has unique M&E needs and we will work with you in a participatory manner in order to develop useful solutions. We do not provide generic solutions to clients and we will ask for your input throughout the process. We use a model of constant feedback and improvement until you are happy.

Excellence

We strive for excellence in all that we do. We commit ourselves to providing you with quality services, practical skills and tools which enable you to conduct your M&E in a more efficient manner. This also means that we won’t take on the job unless we are 100% sure that we can add value to your organisation.

OUR M&E SERVICES

We offer a variety of monitoring and evaluation services. If you are not sure what you need, contact us for a chat!

Onsite Support

Data Collection, Analysis and Report Writing

We come to your organization and work hand-in-hand with you and your team.

If you’re looking for external evaluators, we also provide services in data collection, analysis and report writing. We conduct quantitative (numeric) data analysis in Excel and SPSS and qualitative data (e.g. interview and focus group) analysis in Atlas.ti. We can analyse your existing data or assist you in collecting new data. We write reader-friendly and visually enticing reports which will be understandable to your stakeholders.

Clarificatory Evaluations

Before developing an M&E system it’s important that all stakeholders agree what their interventions do and why, and how this will be tracked. We work with program staff to develop logic models and theories of change that will answer these questions. Already have a logic model? We can review this for you to ensure it’s in line with best practices.

Desktop Research (Literature Reviews)

If you want to know whether existing theory and research supports your interventions, we can conduct literature reviews for your organization.

M&E System Set-Up

We can assist you to refine your existing M&E tools and develop new tools that enable you to collect all the information you require for internal and external reporting and for improving your interventions. We can set up or revise databases for capturing the information you collect!

WORKSHOPS

We offer practical and interactive two-day workshops to people that want to do M&E themselves but require some new skills.

Participants will leave workshops with their own customized M&E tools and will have practical skills to use in their organization. All workshop fees include one-hour of electronic support after the workshop to assist you to implement your new skills and knowledge, if requested.

Costs include one-day training, catering, materials, and certificates of attendance and a one hour skype follow up per attendee if requested.
