We began speaking about HIV/Aids around the dinner table, it became a conversation about how those living with the virus feel and what we can do as a family to make a difference,” Mzukisi Alex Nana, 16.
Alex, as he affectionately called by family and friends, is the most recent winner in the Health4Life Poster Competition that focused on HIV/Aids.
Born and raised in Cape Town, Alex is a born creative, who heard about the competition at school. “As an artist I enjoy challenging myself to test my level. There are three reasons I entered the competition: one, it was a way I could explore how I feel about HIV/Aids; two, I wanted the world to see the disease from the perspective of the affected; and three; for the person who has the disease to see that there is support.
